Editorial project
Some historical figures act as an early mirror. Sharing with Narcís Monturiol a surname, a homeland in Catalonia and family roots in woodworking sparked a genealogical search that Robert continues to document step by step. The real connection, however, always went beyond the archive: fascination with Monturiol’s daring led him to name his first company Ictineo, marking the start of a path where innovation and purpose are inseparable.
Narcís Monturiol did not conceive his vessel for military purposes, but out of a radically human impulse: to save the lives of the coral fishermen of the Costa Brava and to open the seabed to science. His non-linear, high-cognitive-variance way of thinking clashed with the rigid structures of his time and ended up being labeled utopian.
That parallel defines the core of Robert’s next editorial project: how certain educational and geographical environments nurture or stifle people with atypical cognitive profiles, and why, in a world where artificial intelligence tends to standardize knowledge, these non-linear minds are not destined to be replaced by the machine, but amplified by it.
